We benchmark fees to ensure they align with the appropriate market rate.
This bespoke tool is a curated visual exercise developed in-house to establish where a client sits on the design spectrum. Comprising over 100 selected images across all relevant design categories, from exterior architecture, interior design, to landscape design, it invites instinctive, real-time reactions. These are captured and analysed to build a detailed aesthetic profile, ensuring alignment between client vision and the proposed designers from the outset.
RedBook’s Project Brief is a comprehensive, multi-section dossier capturing everything needed before kickoff – clients’ aims, site audit, clearly framed scope, headline budget and expected timeline as well as style cues from the Taste Exploration. For Partners, it compresses weeks of discovery into a single source of truth so they can price and mobilise with minimal risk; for clients, it sets a transparent roadmap of vision, budget and milestones that keeps every stakeholder aligned and safeguards both time and investment.
When matching clients with their ideal talent, we always consider the full breadth of our 150+ strong roster of best-in-class design and delivery practices. We whittle this down to a ‘long-list’ of compatible firms, then again to a ‘short-list’ according to Partner experience and expertise, time/cost expectations – and even personality pairings for each project and client. Each finalist, usually three per discipline is profiled in a concise RedBook Partner Proposal pack; this includes practice credentials, key team member spotlight and look-book imagery aligned to the client’s taste.
This is the opportunity for shortlisted practices to present directly to the client, in person or over Zoom and chaired by RedBook. In timed sessions, each firm showcases their initial thinking, creative approach and working style, bringing their suitability to life beyond credentials alone. These meetings often surface valuable chemistry and help clients make confident, informed decisions about who to appoint.
